The Ensenada Setting
Baja California is a rugged & beautiful
800-mile peninsula with varied terrain, much of it desert, but with its share of
Mediterranean, alpine & tropical climates. Ensenada, the most
northern seaport city on the Pacific side, enjoys a pleasant and moderate climate.
The nearby countryside is populated with small, charming rural communities and
several Mexican Indian tribes. Towards the south are many fishing resorts (Ensenada also
has its own charter fleets), and the tip of the peninsula boasts such famous locations as
La Paz and Cabo San Lucas.
|
| Fine roads, good hotels
and up-to-date housing and medical facilities are available throughout Ensenada. In all
seasons, tourists enjoy the relaxing peacefulness, the fun and the beauty of this rustic
and historic region of Mexico. For the adventurous ones there are the old Catholic
Missions or the ancient stone-age paintings found in some of the out-of-the-way places.
The Baja Peninsula is an adventure long to be remembered. |
