
Ensenada is also Baja's major fishery, and their catch includes tuna,
abalone, lobster, sea urchin and sardine. Many fish-processing factories operates there.
In order to make this harbor suitable for international operations, a modernization
process has already begun. The Federal Goverment plans to turn Ensenada into the fourth
most important port in the country.
Ensenada is also known as "City of Science", because of its
research institutions. This is the city of Mexico with the highest ratio of scientists to
total population.

Bufadora, the remarkable sea geyser that spouts sea water more than 60 feet into the
air. Santo Tomas Winery, Baja California's
oldest winery which gives tours all week except Sunday. El Mirador (The View Site),
also known as Blak Market where you can see the entire bay including La Bufadora. Visit
